The “Rethink” Remedy for Single Women Over Thirty by Lori Shea
Charlotte, NC – 9/7/12 – Women are already bogged down by inequalities, glass ceilings, and sexual innuendos – why add pressure for marriage to the list? The female race is quickly evolving yet our views on marriage remain stuck in the past. Thanks to the combination of a judgmental society, harsh media headlines, and one’s own ingrained expectations, even the most educated and independent women get caught up in the trap, leaving them prisoner to feelings of inferiority, dissatisfaction with life, and a high vulnerability to bad relationships. The “Rethink” Remedy presents a more modern outlook on marriage; one that is not only based on reality and rationale, but coincidentally tells single women what they actually want to hear: 1) The opportunity for marriage does not plummet once you turn thirty 2) Marriage is not a perquisite to success, happiness, or even children and 3) Settling down later in life has critical benefits and is a rapidly growing trend that is here to stay.
