Richmond YWCA Announces Organizational Changes
New Positions Align with Strategic Initiatives

The YWCA of Richmond announced the promotions of several employees and addition of new staff members, in order to better serve its strategic goals. Carol Anne Lajoie, the YWCA’s Senior Director of Development and Marketing, has been named Chief Development Officer of the organization. Lajoie will be supported by Alyssa Murray as Grants Coordinator and Rachel Solomon as Development & Communications Specialist.
Several employees received promotions, as well, including:

The YWCA’s strategic goals are to build capacity, increase sustainability and expand program services. These organizational changes will enhance the YWCA’s fundraising capabilities, prevention education programming, emergency services, and rapid rehousing model to empower victims of sexual and domestic violence.
Several employees received promotions, as well, including:
- Leigh Busby to Director of Community Relations
- Fatima Smith to Director of Community Outreach & Public Education/R-HART (Regional Hospital Accompaniment Response Team) Coordinator
- Shawntee Wynn to Director of Sexual and Domestic Violence Services
